In Interop Tokyo, held in June 2015, we used JGN-X's the 100 Gbps line of JGN-X and StarBED3's the cloud computing equipment of StarBED3 to store and distribute multi-rate ultra-high-definition (UHD) videos. The A multi-rate UHD video server on the cloud can simultaneously distribute one an uncompressed 8 K (7680 × 4320 pixels) UHD video for live-streaming at 25.6 Gbps data, one an uncompressed 4K@60P (3840 x 2160 pixcels) video for at 12.8Gbps, and one an uncompressed 4K@30P video for at 6.4 Gbps. AlsoIn addition, these three video streams are completely synchronized. Then, we We distributed multi-rate UHD live-streaming videos to multiple hubs throughout the network while selectively switching the videos. This paper shows presents the architecture of a multi-rate UHD video handling system, which is virtually on the cloud, and evaluates the performance of the synchronized video distribution function. |
