Satellite communication systems using a digital channelizer have the following advantages: 1) high utilization efficiency of frequency, 2) multicast and broadcast capabilities, and 3) gain control for each channel. However, in broadband satellite communications such as high throughput satellites with multi-beams in the Ka-band, few digital channelizers are mounted. Power consumption and reliability are problems with the use of digital channelizers in broadband satellite communications, and we have proposed the half-band filter and channel separation switch as solutions. Moreover, an effective implementation method is important when applying these technologies to broadband satellite communication systems. In this paper, we propose an effective implementation technique for these technologies for digital channelizers. |
