Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) For the realization of a 5G wireless access network with super high bit rate and capacity, massive MIMO is introduced into small cells using higher frequency bands, and super high bit rate transmission with more than 10 Gbps data rate has been investigated. In massive MIMO, from the point of view of realization, hybrid beamforming (BF) that combines analog BF (ABF) with digital precoding (DP) has been proposed, and joint processing of analog fixed BF and channel state information (CSI)-based precoding (FBCP) has been investigated. In FBCP under multiuser environment, although DP, which is designed after beams selection in ABF, mitigates interference by using degree of freedom in space, there is residual interference when number of beams is reduced. This paper shows the difference of beam selection schemes. One is that each beam has only one user’s transmit signals to mitigate interference in ABF. The other is that all users’ signals are multiplexed to improves degree of freedom in space for mitigation interference. In addition, we compare these two schemes from the viewpoint of number of beams, beam selection criteria and CSI error by computer simulations. As a result, the scheme of common ABF weight for all users can achieve higher throughput than the other scheme.
