A Study on Lossless coding for Binary Holographic Interference Fringes

(in English) This paper studies a compression technique for binary holographic interference fringes. Computer generating holography is one of the promising 3D imaging techniques. However the resolution of holographic data is enormous due to the sampling period corresponding to the wave length of the light source. Therefore, the development of data high efficiency data compression is an indispensable technique in the holographic imaging system. This preliminary study treats the lossless coding system based on the run-length coding and Huffman coding. From the experimental results, it is shown that the proposed method is effective.
