For the efficient and quick recovery of multi-layer networks after disaster, in this paper, we introduce a planning problem which are based on the multi-vendor interconnection approach: planning of emergency multi-layer network construction with the IP-over-Optical overlay model. We propose a corresponding scheme which is modelled in integer linear programming (ILP). This network planning scheme enables the cost-efficient emergency multi-layer network recovery. In order to observe the effect of our proposal, simulations are conducted. Simulation results successfully confirm that the multi-vendor interconnection approach in multi-layer network recovery is efficient in terms of cost reduction, resulting in quick recovery. |
