| (in English) | To solve the congestion of communication at microwave band, FST (fast session transfer) has been devised. While FST is an effective technology in order to establish a stable link with high speed, there is problem that power consumption is increased. This paper proposes a 60GHz WLAN coverage detection method for FST by using a downward directed directional antenna to reduce the power consumption of a battery operated mobile terminal. By obtaining the threshold value of the microwave band RSSI corresponding to the area boundary of the 60GHz-band communications, we detect the 60GHz band communication area by using only a microwave band. In addition, we performed the averaging procedure in consideration of the movement of the temporal location of the STA to suppress the influence of fading. | |
