| (in English) | OFDM is widely used for broadband and high-capacity mobile communications. However, it has high PAPR due to its multicarrier structure. Thus, it is difficult for power amplifiers (PAs) to amplify such RF signals while achieving both high power efficiency and good linearity. To address these issues, nonlinear compensation methods employing Digital Predistorter (DPD) have been studied. SHF and higher frequency-bands attract much attention as 5G spectra, because it is easy to assign wider bandwidth to accommodate over 10 Gbps signals transmission. Considering the size of SHF antenna is smaller, a beamforming transmission scheme is promising. However, cost will increase if each transmitter has a dedicated DPD. In this paper, simple and low cost DPD for beamforming transmitter is proposed. Computer simulations were conducted to verify the compensating performance of the proposed DPD. | |
