Estimation of the gazing area for the subjective image quality evaluation using saliency maps

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) It is useful to calculate image quality evaluation values using computational models. In a subjective evaluation, it is known that the human evaluates the quality of images based on gazing area. Deriving the gazing area from images contributes to the improvement of estimating the image quality evaluation values by computational models. On the other hand, various saliency maps estimate gazing areas only by computational models. The purpose of this study is, therefore, to discuss saliency maps that are appropriate for estimating a gazing area for the subjective image quality evaluation.
