A Study on the Wide-area Metal Detection by Using Dual-frequency Metal Detector for the Inductive Power Transfer

(in English) This paper presents metal detecting method with wide detection area using two sensing frequencies appreciable to the inductive power transfer. This method utilizes two magnetic fields with in both the even and odd modes in order to detect metal objects positioned in between the transmitting and receiving coils. As a result, the detector proposed in this paper can provide 1.6 times wider detection area than that of the conventional single-frequency detecting method.
