Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In-band full-duplex (IBFD) enables a wireless station to transmit and receive signals on the same frequency at the same time, and thus has a potential to achieve a high spectral efficiency.
However, self-interference and inter-user interference are critical issues for IBFD operation.
IBFD operation does not always achieve the higher capacity than half-duplex (HD) operation because the degree of self-interference is variable depending on the surrounding environment.
Therefore, it is necessary to select either a HD or IBFD operation according to the degree of the self-interference.
The previous paper has proposed proportional fair (PF) scheduling for full-duplex cellular (FDC) networks.
In this paper, we formulate the weighted PF scheduling for FDC networks, and evaluate it.
We formulate the weighted PF scheduling by introducing the fairness parameter.
Simulation results show that the scheduler selects either HD or IBFD operation according to the degree of self-interference and that of inter-user interference.
When self-interference is small, the scheduler selects IBFD operation, and thus the system throughput becomes large.
It is also shown that the modification of the fairness parameter enables the scheduler to provide the higher system throughput or better fairness among users.
