Analysis of Electromagnetic Wave Beam for Wireless Power Transmission

(in English) Wireless power transmission between relatively close distance have been examined. In this case, we have to generate and propagate an electromagnetic wave in the shape of a beam because more than 90% beam should be received by a receiving antenna. In order to achieve this, we need to control the excitation phase and amplitude, and that we use phased array antenna. In this paper, we propose a wireless power transmission method using beam concentration method by simply forming a spherical wave. In order to achieve this, we clarify the characteristics of the beam concentration by changing distance between transmitting and receiving antennas. Then we clarify the beam characteristics by analysis when the excitation amplitude and phase are compensated as Gaussian beam. As a result, we show that the beam can be concentrated at farther field.
