User's Activity Understanding Using Speech Recognition of Reading Aloud Voice in Japanese Text Presentation System

(in English) A teacher in a normal class must instruct a large number of pupils alone. It is difficult to tutor each pupil. This paper tries to understand the user's activity for implementing a personal guidance for the user of the Japanese text presentation system using the function to recognize read-aloud voice.
Our proposed method acquires the contents and the utterance time with recognizing voices. From the contents of the sound, the proposed method estimates, whether the user reads exactly. The proposed method understands how the user read from the time that utterance take and the time of caption speed.
This paper proposes the implementation, and experimental results about understanding user's activity.
