In this paper, we discuss a prediction model of the received power depending on the receiver antenna
height in urban environments. Propagation models play a key role for supporting Secondary User (SU) to correctly
evaluate the received power of the Primary User (PU) system. The model can help to determine the interference
toward PU's system. However, conventional propagation models may cause large estimation error in urban environ-
ment. Although by measurement based Radio Environment Database using measurement device setting on vehicles
and smart phones it is possible to make a estimation in a real environment at ground level of the receiver location
point, the measurement in higher altitude is difficult. We proposes a received power prediction method with com-
bining ground and urban boundary-layer height based Radio Environment Database to estimate the received power
of PU signal at higher attitude point. Through experiments, we can conrm that the proposed method signicantly
reduces estimation error. |
