[Poster Presentation] Generation of Phase-Squeezed State using Conditional Displacement Operation and Post-Selection

(in English) The phase estimation of light is widely used for many applications such as metrology, communications and quantum information processing. Generally, the precision of the phase estimation can improve by strengthening of the power of light. However, the strengthening of the power may induce the high-order nonlinear effect etc., thus the precision of the phase estimation is decreased. Therefore, the higher precision of the phase estimation is required for optimal power according to the measuring object. It is well known that phase squeezed light can improve the precision of the phase estimation. However, since such squeezing operation is observed only by weak light experimentally, the light power cannot optimized. Consequently, the precision is not improved. We propose the method of the generation of the approximately phase-squeezed light using the conditional displacement operation and the post-selection. We explain that the superposition of two coherent states which have different amplitudes can be regarded as approximately phase-squeezed states in our proposal.
