A Note on Component Importance Measures for Real-time Computing Systems
Junjun Zheng, Hiroyuki Okamura, Tadashi Dohi (Hiroshima Univ.) R2015-1
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Component importance analysis is to measure the effect on system reliability of component reliabilities, and it can be used to design of system from the reliability point of view. In this paper, we consider the component importance analysis of real-time computing system. Nowadays, the real-time computing system is widely used in our daily lives such as car and patient care systems, and thus the reliability of real-time computing system is more important. This paper assumes that there are common-cause failures (CCFs) among system components in the real-time computing system, and derive the component importance measures based on Markov models.
