Evaluation of the fair traffic control method for best-effort service Takamitsu Narumi (NTT) NS2015-15 |

The best-effort service is become larger chance for heavy users, because the best-effort service is given an opportunity for each packet. Therefore, heavy user occupies most bandwidth. So, user who sends and receives a little bit packets uses few bandwidth. A usual method monitors the network traffic every user. When the system detects a heavy traffic from particular user, the system limits a bandwidth for heavy traffic. So, the system reduces network traffic and user who sends and receives a little bit packets uses more bandwidth. In order not to manage bandwidth by a usual method, it may give rise available bandwidth after limiting the bandwidth for heavy users.
We propose fair traffic control method. It measure traffic per time. So, it sets the bandwidth for every user according to the amount of the traffic. We estimated the fair traffic control method for which a bandwidth can also be used efficiently after the limited bandwidth. |
