Ethernet can provide high performance and cost effective transport for industrial systems that connect large numbers of devices. To apply real-time systems, it is necessary to guarantee end-to-end latency on Ethernet. For delay guarantee communication, it is known to apply the bandwidth reservation using traffic shaping on network interface. However the number of traffic shaping modules is limited by implementation. In this paper, we propose the bandwidth reservation algorithm using flow grouping that considers the number of traffic shaping modules. The proposed algorithm can allocate the resources to fill the network capacity with reservation rate. |
