The Method of Body Image Expansion with Deformation of the Body Shape Recognition

(in English) Artificial limbs are used as a substitute for body parts that have lost. By mounting such equipment as a new supernumerary body parts, it is possible to perform tasks that a person cannot do until now. We can perform a collaborative work with limbs, to manipulate this equipment as a supernumerary body part under recognition that independent other innate body parts. In this paper, we designed a tactile-visual integration of stimulus in order to arise to a sense of body ownership, and to observe the induced self-body shape recognition result. As a result, depending on the clearness of visual stimuli, self-body shape recognition was deformed, and it was shown the equipment to be recognizable as a new self-body parts.
