A Study on Limit and Measurement Method for Transient Disturbance from Electrical Lighting Equipment in Telecommunication Machine Room

(in English) Disturbances from lighting equipment can be divided into two types; one is continuous disturbance, which is caused by the behavior of semiconductors on internal circuits, the other is transient disturbance, which is caused by the power switching operation from outside. The limit level and measurement method of the continuous disturbances from lighting equipment are regulated in CISPR standards. However, there is no standard of limit level and test method for the transient disturbances. In this report, the limit level and measurement method of transient current which is generated caused by switching on and off of lighting equipment are described. The measurement method of the transient current is considered about phase and impedance of AC power supply for acquiring the same result at various test sites. The limit level of transient current generated in telecommunication machine room is derived by analyzing the mechanism of propagation.
