Development of MMIC Rectifier for Wireless Power Transfer Application in High Speed Wireless Communication System at 60 GHz Band

(in English) Recently, techniques of wireless power transfer have been watched. Previous studies proposed a system that wireless power transfer and high speed wireless communication are conducted in the same frequency, 60 GHz band.In a wireless power transfer system, we use rectenna, which is a set of an antenna and a rectifier, as the receiving device.As the frequency is higher, the RF-DC conversion efficiency decreases in general. In this paper, we describe the development of a rectifier of 60 GHz band by adopting the technique of Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit by the simulator.
Finally, the designed rectifier achieved the highest efficiency of 44.3% in the simulation.The size of the rectifier achieved $1280,{rm mu m} times 740,{rm mu m}$.
