Scheduling Method for Dynamic Storage Volume Rearrangement

(in English) In recent years, performance stability is getting more important in the cloud services. In regard to storage I/O performance, to ensure the performance stability with limited resources, storage volume rearrangement is necessary. In this study, we note the overhead with the the storage volume rearrangement and propose the optimal scheduling method to complete migration in the shortest time with little influence on user application. In this study, we set patterns for the scheduling order priority and evaluated the effectiveness of each pattern. From the evaluation result, we found that the scheduling order from shortest of the available time is most effectiveness, in a limited available time.
