An influence of facial expression images for eye movements
Minoru Nakayama, Masahiro Yasuda (Tokyo Tech) MBE2014-132 NC2014-83
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Eye movements using electro-oculogram (EOG) were measured during
observation for facial expression images which consisted of 7 facial
emotions. The images were classified into two clusters using subjective
rating scores with affect-grid scale.
There were some significant differences in frequecies and mean lengths
of saccadic eye movements in 12 directions between two clusters.
The frequency powers of cross-spectrum for two-dimensional eye movements
were significantly different between two clusters in the area of 60-220ms
and 220-540ms after stimuli onset. The key frequency areas were
extracted by factor analysis, there were also some significant
differences in mean frequency powers for the certain extracted factors.
