To understand the characterization of a neuronal activity in animal brains, integration of the in vivo measurement of neuronal activity and computational analyses is useful. We focus on a salt-sensing neuron of the nematode C. elegans in which whole neural circuit has been identified. By using a calcium imaging method, we monitored the activity of the salt-sensing neuron corresponding to the change of salt concentration. By integrating the calcium imaging data, we also generated a computation model which clearly shows the spatio-temporal dynamics of the neuronal activity. |
