Maximum Supply Rate and Minimum Supply Increase Rate of Supply and Demand Networks

(in English) Assume that a graph $G$ has $l$ sources, each assigned a non-negative integer
called a supply, that all the vertices other than the sources are sinks, each
assigned a non-negative integer called a demand, and that each edge of $G$ is
assigned a non-negative integer, called a capacity. A spanning distribution forest
$F$ of $G$ consists of $l$ trees, each tree $T$ in $F$ contains a source $u$,
and the flow through each edge of $T$ does not exceed the edge-capacity
when a flow of an amount equal to a demand is sent from $u$ to each sink in $T$
along the path in $T$. When $G$ has no spanning distribution forest, one wishes to
solve two problems; the first is to find the maximum number $r^*$, $0leq r^* < 1$,
called the maximum supply rate, such that $G$ has a spanning distribution forest
when every
demand is reduced to the ceiling of $r^*$ times the original demand; the second
is to find the minimum number $p^*(>1)$, called the minimum supply increase rate,
such that $G$ has a spanning distribution forest when every supply is increased to the floor
of $p^*$ times the original supply. In the paper we present algorithms for the two
problems when $G$ is a tree, series-parallel graph or partial $k$-tree.
