A Weighted Diversity Combining Technique without Noise Statistics Estimation for Cyclostationarity Detection Based Spectrum Sensing

(in English) This paper presents a weighted diversity combining technique without noise statistics estimation for cyclostationarity detection based spectrum sensing in cognitive radio. We have presented a weighted cyclic autocorrelation function (CAF) diversity combining technique. However, this technique needs to estimate of noise statistics, and reduction of the computational complexity was problem to be solved. Conventional technique requires the estimation of noise statistics because the probability density functions of the two test statistics are different when the number of receive antennas is a few. Moreover, the difference causes the error of a false alarm probability. In this paper, we attempt the weighting technique as matching the probability distribution functions of these test statistics. The presented technique can improve the performance of a false alarm probability as compared with the conventional weighted CAF diversity combining technique.
