Puff Puff System: haptic interface using vortex air cannon for controlling biological signal
Mami Yamaguchi, Ryoko Ueoka (Kyushu Univ.) IMQ2014-68 IE2014-129 MVE2014-116
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) “Puff・Puff System”is a tactile display transferring controlled air pressure generated by a vortex air cannon on cheek. In order to support office workers to work comfortably, Puff・Puff System monitors worker’s biological signal, such as stress, excessive tensed or very sleepy mode. Then the system navigates it to moderate condition for improving its long-term working condition. In this paper, we developed a prototype of our system, and evaluated stress-relieving effect. We found that it can gradually relieve stress, and it helps to improve the grade of calculation task during experiment, and also it helps to keep concentration.
