Service function chaining is being discussed since it accelerates provision of new network services, and also enables customers to apply network function flexibly. To realize service function chaining, a technology which transfers packets to appropriate functions in a suitable order should be established. There are several methods to realize service function chaining, thus, evaluation of methods on the assumption of requirements such like network environment, or network services, is needed. In this paper, we evaluated the case of adopting each service function chaining method in wide area network, in terms of scalability and transfer efficiency. |
