Development of the phantom to measure the image distortion in the diffusion weighted image and distortion measurement in the RESOLVE sequence

(in English) The purpose of this study is to develop a phantom for image distortion evaluation and to evaluate the image distortion in the single-shot echo planar imaging (EPI) and readout segmentation of long variable echo-trains (RESOLVE) objectively. The results show that the single-shot EPI had a maximum distortion rate of 15%, whereas RESOLVE had a distortion rate of 5%. The significant reduction in filling time on segmenting k-space alleviated the impact of eddy current and reduced the diamagnetic artifact, which reduced image distortion.
