In this report, we propose a network model for real-time prediction of temperature distribution in data center required for energy-efficient task assignment and air conditioners' settings. In the proposed model, various physical relationships such as the movement of heat caused by air flow and the locations of server racks and servers. We determine the model parameters by machine learning with actual operation data of the data center. We evaluate the performance of the proposed model by comparing the temperature prediction results by the model with the actual data at our experimental data center. We present that the proposed model can predict 10 minute future temperature distribution of 60 places in 3.6 msec, with a root mean square error of 0.74 degree C. |
