Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We demonstrated 40 Gbit/s signal transmission by midspan optical phase conjugation (OPC) in a quantum-dot semiconductor optical amplifier (QD-SOA). We successfully achieved error-free 100 km transmission using OPC in the QD-SOA and our proposed self-clocking method for OPC scheme. In comparison with the back-to-back signal, the obtained power penalty was less than 2.5 dB.
