This paper proposes a concept of a wireless communication system to provide broadband video datalink for multiple unmanned aerial vehicles in order to monitor a large building. The proposed wireless communication system tracks the UAVs by base stations with tracking antennas and performs handover to satisfy a requirement on received power. This paper also proposes two UAV-tracking algorithms which predict the position of each UAV and determine the target UAV according to the propagation loss between each base station and UAV. Finally, the outage probabilities on the received power requirement brought by the proposed UAV-tracking algorithms are evaluated by computer simulations. |
