It is expected that wave height value of tsunami is estimated far out at sea using a Doppler radar for a tsunami warning system.
However, it is difficult to estimate wave height by solving shallow water equation, because radar measurements have observation error and estimated wave height value has accumulated error. In order to resolve the problem,
we proposed a method of radar data assimilation for tsunami simulation model using the Kalman Filter.
The validity of the proposed algorithm has been confirmed through several computer simulations. |
