Kerr comb generation and time domain measurement of the high repetition pulses generated with a toroid microcavity

(in English) Optical frequency comb source is light with modes that have equal frequency intervals, which forms pulse train with pulse width of femtosecond regime. By using a cavity with high-Q and small size such as a toroid cavity, we can develop light source devices producing a high repetition rate pulses at low power. In this study, we have generated a Kerr comb in toroid cavity and demonstrate high-repetition pulse train generation examined by using SHG auto-correlation measurement. We also show the advancement of an add-drop configuration, and discuss the effect of Raman scattering in optical Kerr comb in a toroid microcavity.
