| (in English) | With advancement of IP-based information and communication technologies, VoIP services have been used widely and quickly. In a deteriorated network environment, however, the VoIP services often suffer from the voice intermittence and transmission delay and it makes the users irritated. We have proposed a proposed a method which improves the quality of VoIP services based on the probabilistic distribution of packet discarding. By discarding VoIP packets based on the distribution of conversation blank time, the user evaluation to the services can be improved even if the packet loss rate increases. In this paper, an objective formula using E-model will be derived through some verification results in order to discuss the effectiveness of the proposed method. | |
