Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) To avoid service outage of applications caused by link disconnection or node failure in low power and lossy networks (LLNs), it is necessary to prepare backup paths which does not overlap with primary paths and interfere with other paths. However detailed construction mechanisms of backup paths are out of consideration in standards and not studied well in previous research activities. In this paper, we propose an autonomous mechanism to construct backup paths taking into account interference and leading to lower slot utilization as a result. By adopting an attractor selection model, i.e. a mathematical model of biological adaptation to dynamically changing
environment, our proposal can accomplish appropriate backup paths as the whole through autonomous decisions of individual nodes. Through simulation experiments, we verify that our proposal can reduce the slot utilization ratio in a high-dense area while achieving load balancing among nodes.
