Simple Estimation of position by Using ULPIL Antennas

(in English) As a fundamental study of a position estimation system by using ULPIL antennas, two simple algorithms of RSSI are studied. The design frequency is 2.48 GHz. The receiving antennas are located on a circle with its radius of 65 mm. From the amplitude of each received signal, a position of transmitting antenna within the square with its side of 50 mm is estimated. In the algorithm A, the RSSI is approximated by a linear equation of the distance between transmitting and receiving antennas when the transmitting antenna is located on the z axis. The estimation error is less than 3 mm. In the algorithm B, the transmitting antenna is located on the two lines x = 0 mm and 24 mm. The RSSI is approximated as a function of z coordinate. However, the estimation error becomes larger than that of the algorithm A.
