The ZnS:Mn and (Zn,Cd):Mn red nanophosphors with high quantum efficiency were synthesized by 3-mercaptopropionic acid (3-MPA) and the wavelength conversion layer (WCL) with modified nanophosphors was created by the doctor blade method. The QE of the (Zn,Cd):Mn drastically increased to up to about 40% to change the amount of 3-MPA quantity and control the pH. The conversion efficiency of the WCLs with nanophosphors would be increased to 0.3% and 0.5% on ZnS:Mn and (Zn,Cd)S:Mn, respectively. |
