| (in English) | The input and output of error correcting code in GF(2) are generally given by binary data. This paper focuses on a soft-input soft output (SISO) encoding whose input and output are respectively expressed as the probabilities. The first half of this paper provides how to SISO-encode by using the probability of input sequence. In the latter half, we apply the SISO encoding technique to the relays in relay-channel and show the effectiveness of SISO encoding. Also, we provide exact probability density functions (pdfs) of the input and output of SISO encoder. Furthermore, we present theoretical bit-error rate of the one-way relay channel with $K$ relays and provide the code design criterion to maximize the distributed coding gain. The computer simulations reveal that the SISO based relay protocol can achieve slightly superior frame error rate performance to the conventional forwarding protocols. | |
