Fast Haze Removal Method Based on Simplified Transmittance Estimation

(in English) When there are haze or fog in an image, the visibility of objects in the image is not good. In recent years, the dehazing methods have been investigated. In this report, a new haze removal method is proposed. Similar to previous methods, the global atmospheric light and transmittance in an input image are estimated and the haze removal is carried out using these in the proposed method. The density of haze is estimated from pixel values and the transmittance is estimated based on it. In addition, smoothing of the transmittance distribution is carried out to sharpening an output image.
