Simulation Evaluation of System Throughput by Considering Capture Effect in Densely Deployed Wireless LANs

(in English) In densely deployed wireless LANs where a lot of wireless LANs exist, the wireless LANs utilize channels that overlap each other, and hence the wireless LANs are interfered with each other degrading the system throughput. On the other hand, the transmission of packets succeeds with a capture effect if the SINR is larger than a threshold even when the interference occurs. In this paper, for the densely deployed wireless LANs, we develop a simulator that calculates the system throughput by considering the capture effect and the interference. The simulator utilize the different transmission probability for each terminal depending on their environment. Numerical examples show that the validity of the simulator by comparing with experimental results. In addition, we show the effectiveness of our simulator in terms of the capture effect and the transmission probability for each terminal.
