Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper presents an efficient multi-channel utilization method to flexibly increase the network capacity of the wireless mesh network (WMN), which consists of a wireless multi-hop network. Since the capacity of a channel is physically limited, it is essential to utilize multiple channels in parallel in order to expand the network capacity of WMN. This paper proposes an architecture that allows APs to handle the unlimited number of channels potentially and, in the future, increase the number of channels on demand. Also, we present the channel utilization method that simultaneously and effectively control traffic while concerning with radio coverage. Finally, we conduct the experimental evaluation in a real environment and show that the method considering radio area can effectively use the all channels.
