Electromagnetic radiation occurs at the contact boundary surface of a coaxial connector with insufficient torque because of the current that flows into the contact failure portion. The electromagnetic radiation intensity varies depending on the inductance at the contact failure portion, as found by previous studies. In the present paper, to investigate the mechanism of increased inductance at the contact failure portion, we reveal the relationship between the contact point distribution at the contact boundary surface and the increased inductance by considering the latter as the sum of the self- and mutual inductances. |
