The Analysis of Losses in Non-isolated Single Stage Buck-Boost ZVS-PWM PFC Converters

(in English) Non-isolated ZVS(Zero Volt Switch)-PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) PFC(Power Factor Correction) converter is known as a PFC converter control method has the advantages of soft switching and the inductor current continuous conduction mode (CCM) . And the output voltage of the single stage PFC Converter is pulsating, but the single stage PFC has advantage of small number components, and of good efficiency. So it is used in applications where pulsating voltage is allowed, for example, as the LED lighting devices. However, non-isolated PFC uses boost topology in general, so it was never used except for the application having a high output voltage. In this paper, we propose a single stage non-isolated buck-boost ZVS-PWM PFC converter and describes the characteristics of the circuit. It can be used in any input and output voltage. Further, we clarify the architecture and the loss factor of the converter.
