Basic study on statistical modeling of points, diaphragms, vessels and massiveness in abdominal CT images based on Isometric log-ratio transformation

(in English) In this report, we propose a method of statistically analyzing the structures of points, diaphragms, vessels and massiveness in abdominal CT images. First, mask images are generated by manually extracting landmark points, aorta descendens, left and right diaphragms, liver, pancreas and left and right kidneys from sample CT images. Next, we generate belief vectors whose values represent the possibilities that local areas in CTs include the structures. By use of the isometric log-ratio transformation, the belief vectors are projected onto the feature space without the simplex restrictions. The feature vectors are analized by the singular value analysis, and the analized vectors are projected to the belief space by the inverse isometric log-ratio transformation. Several experimental results are shown.
