With the increase of colorectal cancer patients in recent years, the computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system which supports doctor's diagnosis effectively in the diagnosis of colon cancer is required. Our group has developed the support system for colorectal endoscopic images with narrow band imaging (NBI) magnification which identify the pathology type from local features in NBI endoscopic image. In order to meet the real-time processing, in which a full high definition (Full HD) endoscopic image must be identified within one second, the feature transformation which change feature quantity into Visual Word (VW) histogram based on the Bag-of-features (BoF) algorithm is implemented on hardware. In this paper, for reduction of resources and increase processing speed, we propose an improved hardware oriented algorithm, and a real-time processing method using multiple Scan Window (SW) sizes to identify a complex pathology area of Full HD colorectal endoscopic image. |
