A Study on Node Combination of Emergency Wireless Networks for a Large-scale Disaster

(in English) It is very important to ensure communication systems for a large-scale disaster. As an emergency communication system, a wireless network using balloons, electric vehicles (EVs), and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of electric multicopter equipped with wireless communication equippment was proposed. In this paper, we suppose the wireless network combining these nodes. We discuss how this network constitutes and what the specific issue is. The communication area is evaluated by changing the node height. In this network, the height of balloon and UAV nodes changes and then the communication area changes with the height. In addition, because of this there is a problem that the network is temporarily disconnected. To solve this problem, we employ a delay-tolerant network (DTN) technique. This paper evaluates the number of nodes and node density according to the desired application for a disaster and the regional property.
