A Study of Approximation Method for Capacity Regions of Multihop Wireless Networks

(in English) Capacity regions describe the set of achievable rate combinations between all source-destination pairs in the multihop wireless networks (MWNs) under various transmission strategies. To determine these capacity regions, the challenge is to find the optimal schedule of all feasible rate combinations by using a linear programming (LP) optimization algorithm. However, the LP computation is a NP-complete problem. This paper introduces an approximation method to reduce the computational complexity of the LP optimization algorithm. The main contribution of this paper is a novel approximation method not only can significantly reduce the computation time, but also the method is quite good accurate and feasible to approximate the capacity region for efficient deployment of MWNs.
