Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper proposes a dynamic switching method of job selection methods in volunteer computing (VC) systems, where the computation term is preliminarily fixed. The proposed method switches the two conventional methods, i.e. ECJMAX and Round Robin, based on the given parameter “Change Turn”(CT). To maximize the number of completed jobs in the proposed method, the optimal value of CT is estimated based on known parameters such as the computation term. Simulation results show that the proposed method enlarges the number of completed jobs 5% compared to ECJMAX, regardless of the values of unknown parameters such as sabotage rates.
