Reverberation Acoustic Test Facility (RATF) is designed to simulate the launching stage and define the performance and resistance of the satellite, equipment, subsystems or systems. Every reverberation chamber have its own characteristic due to the design of the chamber. The main parameter that affecting the characteristic and response is the volume size of the chamber. Defining the characteristic is crucial in order to identify the acoustic response in the chamber. Through the simulation analysis, the number of modes, modal density, modal spacing and maximum response test item can be obtained. For the analysis, mode characteristic will be define by the boundary condition and the frequency response. The chamber performance are expected to create as many different resonances as possible and spread evenly across the frequency spectrum. This paper discuss on the comparison characteristic of chamber in ANGKASA with other reverberation acoustic chambers in the world. The result shall indicate that RATF have the capability to provide a medium and small scale of testing. The differential analysis with others chambers in the world shall provide the information where will RATF complimenting to the others. Further simulation need to be carried out in order to verified the performance of RATF in Malaysia Space Centre whether it fit for purposes. |
