Emission Properties of Bilayer Organic Light-Emitting Transistors Doped with Phosphorescent Dyes

(in English) The fabrication and characteristics of top-gate type bilayer polymer light-emitting transistors with phosphorescent dye doped in fluorene-type polymers are investigated. For poly(9,9-dioctylfluorenyl-2,7-diyl) (F8) and poly[(9,9-dioctylfluorenyl-2,7-diyl)-co-(1,4-benzo-{2,1',3}-thiadiazole)] (F8BT), top-gate type devices with polymethylmethacrylate(PMMA) as a gate insulator showed ambipolar characteristics. The hole and electron mobility were estimated to be approximately 10$^{-4}$ - 10$^{-3}$ cm$^{2}$/Vs. Devices with phosphorescent dye doped layer exhibit the ambipolar and light-emitting properties. Both fluorescence and phosphorescence emissions from a fluorescent host and a phosphorescent dopant materials can be achieved for bilayer devices.
